Before you record

SameTake needs Camera and Microphone access to record video. Make sure your iPhone has enough available storage for the original recording and the created video versions. Longer recordings and higher-quality video use more storage.

During recording

Keep SameTake open while recording. The app prevents your screen from locking automatically during an active recording, but manually locking your iPhone, switching apps, answering a call, or another system interruption may stop the recording.

If recording is interrupted, SameTake will try to preserve a usable original recording and offer recovery options when possible.

Creating and saving your videos

After you stop recording, SameTake can create vertical and horizontal versions from your original video. Keep the app open and do not switch apps or lock your screen until both videos are ready. Video creation depends on your device, available storage, battery level, iOS version, and system services.

SameTake asks for permission to add created videos to Photos. Once the vertical and horizontal videos are saved, you can choose whether to save the original to Photos too or delete SameTake's local copy.

SameTake Premium

Premium removes SameTake branding from vertical and horizontal video exports. Your original recorded video is always clean and unbranded, whether you use the Free version or Premium.

If you already purchased Premium, open the Premium screen in the app and choose Restore Purchases. To manage or cancel an active subscription, use Apple's subscription settings.

Please do not send personal videos unless we specifically ask for them.

Privacy and Terms

SameTake processes videos locally on your device. Your recordings and exports are not uploaded to our servers.
